Client: Roche Bobois
Location: Manchester
Budget: 700k
Area: 700 sqm
This 7000 sqm unit had been vacant for two years due to the unusual floor to slab heights.
With a 4.5m ground floor and 2.5m upper floor the challenge was to ensure furniture collections worked with dramatically different spaces.
Throughout we used raw, self-finish materials to contrast with the rich finishes of the furniture. The steel stair with concrete treads are unpainted and full height glass screens divide the space but maintain visual clarity. Recessed light slots and coffers further enhance the visual drama throughout. The project was delivered at under 900 sqm.
This flagship store is the first in the north and is the first of a roll-out which will include other major northern cities as well as Scotland and Ireland.
